Our box size chart

As well as the size, consider how sturdy and reinforced your box is. If you’ve got a lot of heavy items to move, or you’re going to be stacking your belongings in storage, reinforced packing materials will suit you best.

Measuring your box

Standard box dimensions are measured in length, width and height (sometimes referred to as the depth). These measurements show the internal dimensions of each box, rather than its full size.

Make sure you pick up the right sizes for your belongings to make the most of your space. If you’re packing fragile items, you’ll need to factor in the space that protective materials like bubble wrap or packing peanuts take up, too.

How to assemble your cardboard box

Our boxes come flat packed, so you can assemble them at the best time for you. Whilst assembling your boxes is a fairly easy job, it’s important to put them together properly to save your belongings from damage.

  1. Place the box on a flat surface, with the bottom facing upwards
  2. Fold the slightly smaller flaps inwards, so they’ll sit inside your box
  3. Fold the larger flaps over the top of the box
  4. Stick packing tape across the fold, taking it down each side of the box to make sure the bottom is secure
  5. Turn the box upside down, so the unsealed top is facing upwards
  6. Once you’ve filled your box, secure it with more packing tape to keep your belongings safe while you’re transporting them
