Our commitment to a safe, respectful environment

At Space Station, we are committed to providing a safe, respectful, and professional environment for everyone who visits our stores and interacts with our team.

We have a zero-tolerance approach to sexual harassment of any kind.

Sexual harassment is unlawful under the Equality Act 2010 and includes any unwanted behaviour of a sexual nature that violates a person’s dignity or creates an intimidating, hostile, degrading, humiliating or offensive environment.

This can include, for example:

• Sexual comments, jokes or “banter”
• Unwanted attention, staring or suggestive behaviour
• Inappropriate questions about someone’s private life
• Unwelcome touching or physical contact
• Sending or showing sexual content
• Behaviour through digital channels or social media

Our approach

We actively take steps to prevent sexual harassment in our stores and across our business. All members of our team receive training on appropriate conduct and how to respond if issues arise.

We also expect our customers, suppliers, contractors and visitors to treat our team with the same dignity and respect.

If a customer or visitor harasses a member of our team

Sexual harassment of our staff by customers or visitors will not be tolerated.

If such behaviour is reported and substantiated, we will:

• Remove the customer from our stores permanently
• Report any criminal behaviour to the police
