Founded in 2017, PPP Cameras operates out of our Stirchley storage facility. We found out more about the services PPP Cameras offer, and how Space Station Stirchley has helped their business grow.
PPP Cameras was established in 2017.
The business was born out of a deep-rooted passion for film photography. It started as a hobby of collecting and restoring vintage cameras, which eventually evolved into a professional venture when the demand for high-quality, serviced film equipment became clear.
PPP Cameras is a specialist analogue photography hub. We focus on the repair, restoration and sale of vintage cameras, ensuring that classic equipment remains functional for the modern era. Beyond hardware, we also provide film processing, scanning and printing services through our dedicated lab.
The plan is to continue growing the PPP community and expanding our lab services. We aim to remain a reliable cornerstone for film enthusiasts by exploring new ways of to make analogue photography more accessible and sustainable for photographers of all levels.
One of the most unexpected discoveries was just how much mechanical variety exists across camera brands and eras. Every repair is a unique puzzle, and it’s been surprising to see how many ‘lost’ cameras can be brought back to life with specialised parts.
Patience is essential. Working with analogue gear requires a high level of technical precision and attention to detail. For anyone starting out, my advice would be to immerse yourself in the mechanics of the equipment and build a strong relationship with the community – trust is the most important asset in this industry.
